Stop meeting, DMK tells EC

CHENNAI, APRIL 1. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam today urged the Election Commission to immediately direct the State Government to stop a meeting proposed to be held by the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women here tomorrow. It was aimed at ``influencing members of women self-help groups to canvas for the ruling All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK)'' in the Lok Sabha elections, the organisation secretary, T.K.S.Elangovan, said in a telegram to the EC.
