CHITRADURGA, APRIL 2. The people of the drought-hit Chitradurga district heaved a sigh of relief as heavy rains lashed most parts of the district for the past three days. According to Meteorological Department sources, Chitradurga recorded around 90 mm rainfall till date this season. Chitradurga had recorded 45.1 mm on Thursday and 21.6 mm on Friday. This has brought some respite to farmers and is expected to solve the water scarcity to some extent.
