Nabard disbursed Rs.680 crores in 2003-04

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
APRIL 2.
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) disbursed Rs. 680 crores as development credit in Kerala during 2003-04, according to B. S. Shekhawat, the bank's chief general manager.
At a press conference here today, Mr. Shekhawat said this assistance included Rs. 342 crores as investment credit to cooperatives and regional rural banks, Rs. 127 crores for infrastructure development to the State Government and Rs. 211 crores as production credit to banks.
Cumulative disbursement of development credit in the State till March 31, 2004 came to the tune Rs. 4,227 crores, of which the outstanding amount on that date was Rs. 2,154 crores, he said.
