ALAPPUZHA, APRIL 3. The former Congress leader, Cheriyan Philip, today said that the Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, had destroyed the respectability of the Congress by protecting K. Muraleedharan and V.M. Sudheeran, who had breached party discipline. At a `Meet-the-Press' programme here, Mr. Cheriyan Philip said Mr. Sudheeran, during his tenure as Speaker of the State legislature, had given a ruling against the Chief Minister. On another occasion, he had violated the party whip and voted against the Government, Mr. Cheriyan Philip said.
