BANGALORE, APRIL 3. City Union Bank Ltd. has completed 100 years of service in six States and two Union territories. The bank will organise its centenary celebrations here on April 6. The Regional Director of the RBI, Devaki Muthukrishnan, will inaugurate the celebrations. The chief manager of the bank in Karnataka, V. Nagarajan, said the bank had a total deposit of Rs. 2,700 crore with 125 branches in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, New Delhi, and Pondichery. It had plans to open 10 more branches in various cities, including one at Malleswaram in Bangalore, shortly.
