BANGALORE, APRIL 3. Thieves felled and took away a fully-grown sandalwood tree from the Westminster premises on Cunningham Road on Friday night, the police said. The High Grounds police have registered a case.
Auto driver killed
An autorickshaw driver was killed when a vehicle hit his three-wheeler near Wheelers Road-Cox Town junction around 11.45 p.m. on Friday. The man has been identified as Akhil (27) of Netaji Road in Frazer Town. The police said Akhil had parked the autorickshaw on the roadside and was repairing it with the help of another driver, Radhakrishna (33), when the incident took place. Radhakrishna, who has been injured, has been hospitalised.
