By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE, APRIL 3. As many as 103 postgraduate diploma students and 14 executive postgraduate diploma students were presented degrees at the eighth convocation of the Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) here on Saturday.

Addressing students, F.C. Kohli, former Vice-Chairman, Tata Consultancy Services, advised them to make good use of emerging opportunities.

He asked the students to put in their best efforts to help their organisations while facing the challenges of the corporate world.

Mr. Kohli also presented awards for excellence to the students.

Presenting the annual report, J. Philip, Vice-Chairman and Director of XIME, said a women's hostel and Executive block were constructed this year and there was a plan to build a men's hostel adjacent to the main campus.

He said that more than two-thirds of the students who were passing out had already been placed in reputed organisations in India and abroad.

The institute had also organised a large number of management development programmes besides conducting national-level seminars on globalisation, branding, and advertising.

The XIME was aiming to be one among the 20 top business schools in India, he added.
