PONDICHERRY, APRIL 4. The Puratchialar Ambedkar Thondarpadai (Pondicherry) has appealed to the police to deploy forces in localities where Scheduled Caste people are residing. The coordinator, C. Moorthi, said in a release today that the incidents of violence in some of the districts in the neighbouring Tamil Nadu should draw the attention of law enforcement authorities. In the past, some of the villages in the Embalam Assembly constituency where SC people were living witnessed violence. The poor suffered damage to their houses. A Thondarpadai delegation would present a petition to the Inspector-General demanding deployment of police in the pockets till the Lok Sabha election was over.
