PONDICHERRY, APRIL 4. The Congress is spoiling the name of the country and is also misguiding the people, said the international working president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Ashok Singhal, at a press conference here today. Mr. Singhal said a person who did not know the tradition and heritage of India should have no role in its politics. No government could be run without dharmic principles and life of the people India was bound by dharmic concept. He claimed the excavations done on the Ayodhya site had brought to light the traces of existence of a Ram temple several centuries ago. He said what more one needed to establish the fact of the Ram temple there. He paid rich tributes to Tamil Nadu Government for enacting legislation against conversion. "It is a remarkable and bold step and deserved to be emulated by other States." He called upon the people to develop awareness of what was happening around them and understand the fact that the Congress was misguiding the country and spoiling the reputation of the nation.
