BANGALORE, APRIL 4. All round performances from Yere Goud and S. Sanyal helped Rail Wheel Factory and Metro Rail's post wins in the All-India inter-railway cricket championship here on Sunday. At the Rail Wheel Factory grounds, the host defeated ICF (Chennai) by 20 runs. Batting first, RWF made 252 in 50 overs with Yere Goud, belting 79 in 85 balls with six fours and a six. In reply, ICF folded up for 232 with Magesh Kumar scoring a brilliant 78. Goud bowled well, claiming three wickets for 15 runs. Metro Rail (Kolkata) thrashed South Western Railway by 192 runs at the Air Force grounds. Metro Rail made 239 for eight in 50 overs with Sanyal (50) and S. Ahmed (63) coming good. In reply, SWR crashed to 47 in 14.4 overs with Sanyal and Ali claiming five wickets apiece. The scores: Rail Wheel Factory 252 in 50 overs (Yere Goud 79, Praveen Pawar 37, Rakshan Raj 30) bt ICF 232 in 46.3 overs (Magesh Kumar 78, Vijay Gopi 43, Yere Goud three for 15). Metro Rail, Kolkata 239 for eight in 50 overs (S. Sanyal 50, S. Ahmed 63, S. Lahari 27) bt South Western Railway 47 in 14.4 obvers (S. Ali five for 15, S. Sanyal five for 18).
