Reject CPI, says Indrasena

NALGONDA, APRIL 4. The Bharatiya Janata Party State president and candidate for Nalgonda parliamentary seat, Nallu Indrasena Reddy, on Sunday said the votes for the Communist Party of India "are bound to go waste.''

"CPIki vese votu waste, naaku vestene adi best (The votes that you cast for the CPI would go waste and vote for me for the best),'' was the slogan he coined at a press conference before launching his campaign at Devarakonda. He maintained that the Communists could not make any contribution for the development of the district and the State. "It is an absolute waste to vote for the CPI. Vote for me to continue the developmental works,'' he added. Dubbing communism an "obsolete ideology'', Mr. Reddy said that it was a shame that the Congress was teaming up with the communists. "The communists killed and maimed scores of Congress workers in villages and non-Communists are the victims of the Communists' violence. In this backdrop, how can the Congress tie-up with the Communists,'' he questioned.
