Nalgonda
By Our Staff Reporter
NALGONDA, APRIL 4. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) central committee member, Mallu Venkata Narasimha Reddy, has charged the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party leaders with spreading rumours that the party candidate for the Nalgonda Assembly segment, Nandhyala Narasimha Reddy, would withdraw from the fray.
The senior CPI (M) leader took strong exception to the State BJP chief, Indrasena Reddy's statement that the votes that would be polled for communists could go waste and said: "I am sure the BJP's balloon is going to burst in the ensuing elections.'' He advised Mr. Indrasena Reddy not to make such cheap comments. "The CPI (M) is the only party that highlighted the problems of farmers, minorities and weaker sections,'' he said adding that the party's contribution in maintaining communal harmony in the district was commendable.
