CHENNAI, APRIL 5. Direct marketing group Modicare, which has been into marketing of fast moving consumers durables, has entered into selling services products. It is discussing with five major insurance companies in India to market insurance products to consumers directly, said Chris Bolsover, Chief Operating Officer, Modicare Ltd. Mr. Bolsover told The Hindu that the company was planning to use its direct marketing expertise to sell the insurance products across the country. Similarly, it was also negotiating with one of the international university for distance learning programmes, especially in English. Recently, it had set up the Modicare School of Entrepreneurship to train Modicare consultants and to prepare educational material that could be distributed through Modicare. Mr. Bolsover was in Chennai to announce the launch of nutrition and wellness products. The product, which would be branded as `Well', would comprise Modicare Well protein body nourisher and Modicare Well AM-PM energising and stress relieving dietary supplement. The former, a blend of soybeans and milk proteins, would cost Rs. 690 for 200 gm. The AM-PM, a combination of modern science and Ayurveda, would cost Rs. 1,440 for a pack of 60 capsules.
