Congress candidate declares assets

CUDDAPAH, APRIL 5. The former Cuddapah MP, Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, who filed his nomination as Congress candidate for Cuddapah Parliamentary constituency disclosed the assets in his name and that of his wife, Y.S. Sowbhagyamma, in an affidavit filed during nomination on Monday.

Mr. Reddy's assets included Rs. 1.70 lakhs in cash; Rs. 40,95,135 in bonds, debentures and shares; and Rs. 70 lakhs deposits in banks.

Other assets such as values of claims/interest amounted to Rs. 26,37,670 apart from 43.54 acres agricultural land in K.V. Palle worth Rs. 87,08,000; 13.95 acres of non-agricultural land in Pulivendula worth Rs. 17.50 lakhs and a house at Cuddapah worth Rs. 40 lakhs.

Ms. Sowbhagyamma's assets included cash of Rs. 80,000; Bonds, debentures and shares worth Rs. 13,29,500; Rs. 70 lakhs deposits in banks; and jewellery worth Rs. 3,49,090. Other assets such as values of claims/interest were amounted to Rs. 1,17,982 apart from 1.19 acres of agricultural land at Bakarapuram worth Rs. 2.36 lakhs and non-agricultural land in Magiapur and Madavaram in Chennai worth Rs. 3.29 lakhs.
