3 killed in accident

MALAPPURAM,
APRIL 6.
Three persons were killed and two others seriously injured in an accident involving a car and a private stage carrier on the National Highway at Nadakkavu, near Edappal, here today.
The deceased persons were identified as Musthafa, Aliyar and Shafeer, all natives of Perumbavoour in Ernakulam district. The injured persons, Siddque and Abdul Khader were admitted to the Amala Medical College Hospital in Thrissur district, the police said.
The police said that the accident occurred because of the speeding private bus that was on its way to Guruvayoor from Kannur district. It rammed into the car in which the five persons were travelling. A case has been registered at the Kuttipuram police station, the police said.
