BANGALORE: Barista, the speciality coffee bar chain, has launched a loyalty programme `Brewards' with regular customers issued a smart card which they can use for discounts.
The Coffee Card will offer flat discounts of 12.5 per cent for students and 10 per cent for others, Brotin Banerjee, Head of Marketing and Strategy, told presspersons on Tuesday. Customers can also accumulate `value points' and redeem them for free beverages. Apart from this, those with the cards will also get invited to various events. Bangalore is the first city to get the Coffee Cards and these can be used at all outlets here, Mr. Banerjee said. "We have a target of issuing 10,000-15,000 cards and eventually the loyalty programme will be offered in other cities too'' he said.
