Intas unveils intravenous itraconazole

NEW DELHI: Intas Biotechnology, the biotech arm of Intas Pharmaceuticals, announced on Tuesday the launch of `Itaspor (Itraconazole intravenous)', a broadspectrum anti-fungal with lower toxicity. ``Itraconazole is a broad spectrum triazole being active against both yeats and moulds, but its use had been limited by lack of an intravenous preparation,'' an Intas release said, quoting R. Chandrasekaran, Vice President (Marketing).
