Kollam
By Our Staff Reporter
KOLLAM, APRIL 6. Thundershowers, which lashed the city and other parts of the district, brought the much-needed relief from the sweltering heat. However, strong winds, which accompanied the downpour, caused minor damage. Several trees by the roadside got uprooted and fell over power supply lines, snapping supply in many parts of the city. Two bamboo towers erected at Chinnakada and Asramam for illumination in connection with the Kollam `pooram' also came down. No one was injured.
