SRINAGAR, APRIL 6. An earthquake shook Srinagar and adjoining areas today, meteorological office sources said. There were no reports of any casualty or damage to life and property. The quake, measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, was felt at 2.45 a.m. The remote Hindu Kush mountains along Afghanistan's northeast border with Pakistan were also hit by an earthquake early today. It was centred in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, which borders Pakistan, Tajikistan and China, and rattled windows as far as Kabul.
