SNDP not pro-LDF, says Vidyasagar

KOCHI, APRIL 6. The SNDP president, C.K. Vidyasagar, has denied that the SNDP would back LDF candidates.

He told The Hindu that the SNDP council had not made any decision to support any particular candidate. It had only given a broad guideline to the SNDP cadre to vote for "those candidates who had a pro-backward class leaning, who were SNDP-friendly and who had relevance irrespective of their religion, caste or politics.'' Any report to the contrary, made by any leader, expressed the individual preference of that person and was not binding on the organisation.
