Lightning claims two lives

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, APRIL 6. Two persons, including a five-year-old boy, were killed and four others injured, when lightning struck them in Malappuram district early today.

The deceased, Rema, wife of Ramankutty, and their son were asleep in their house at Chullikunnu in Thirurangadi when lightning claimed their lives, the police said. In another incident, four members of a family were injured when lightning struck them at Munniyoor, also in Malappuram district, the police said. — UNI
