KOCHI, APRIL 6. The District Congress leadership is likely to recommend the expulsion of civic chiefs who are holding the office with the support of the Left Democratic Front in the district. The DCC president, K. P. Dhanapalan, had set a deadline of March 31 for the civic chiefs in the city to quit. However, they refused to abide by the directives of the party leadership. The party had earlier suspended those who aligned with the Left parties for wresting power in local bodies.
