KOCHI, APRIL 6. The Kalamassery police have registered a case in connection with the smashing of the windscreen of a bus belonging to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation during the strike taken out by autorickshaw workers in the city on Tuesday. According to the police, a group of protestors approached a bus at the Premier junction, Kalamassery at 11.45 a.m. and smashed the left windscreen. . The one-day token strike was called by the joint strike committee, involving trade unions such as the CITU, AITUC and INTUC, in protest against the official direction to install digital meters for autorickshaws.
