KOCHI, APRIL 6. The Action Council for Bridges Linking Vypeen-Vallarpadam-Mulavukadu-Ernakulam has sought the intervention of the Goshree Islands Development Authority (GIDA) secretary and the district Collector, Gyanesh Kumar, for speeding up the work of the approach roads for the Goshree bridges. In a statement issued here today, the Action Council's convener, Majnu Komath, said that the works on the roads were at a standstill. The statement said that only about 184 metres of road on the Vypeen Island and 600 metres of road near the Canal Bridge have been completed. However, asphalting of the roads is yet to be taken up.
