NEW DELHI, APRIL 6. The Election Commission has identified as many as ten centres for counting of votes for the seven Lok Sabha seats from Delhi. The Capital is slated to go to the polls on May 10, while the counting of votes would be taken up on May 13. Results are likely to be declared the same day. According to officials in the Commission, there would be three counting centres for the East Delhi parliamentary constituency at the Industrial Training Institutes campuses at Nand Nagri, Vivek Vihar and Khichripur. There are more than 26 lakh voters in this constituency. Counting of votes for the Outer Delhi constituency would be taken up at two centres -- the Police Training Centre, Jharoda Kalan, and Guru Nanak Dev Co-education Polytechnic at Rohini. With more than 33 lakh voters, Outer Delhi has the maximum number of voters in any parliamentary constituency. As for the remaining five Parliamentary constituencies, counting of votes would be taken up at one centre each. The fate of candidates contesting from South Delhi would be decided at the ITI for Women, August Kranti Marg, Siri Fort, and those from Karol Bagh at Arya Bhat Polytechnique, G. T. Karnal Road, Ashok Vihar, officials said. Counting of votes for the prestigious New Delhi and Delhi Sadar constituencies would be taken up at Mandir Marg and Ludlo Castle School campuses respectively, while those of the smallest Chandani Chowk, which has less than 3.5 lakh voters, would be taken up at the Pusa Campus.
