NEW DELHI, APRIL 6. A 52-year-old businessman was allegedly shot at by three men in a white Maruti 800 car near his house at Rajouri Garden in West Delhi on Monday night. No arrests have been made in the case so far.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 9-15 p.m. when Ved Prakash, a resident of Vaishali Enclave, was on his way home in his Santro car along with his son Sandeep and domestic help Sehjaad. He was near his house when a Maruti 800 car intercepted his Santro.

Three men alighted from the vehicle and opened fire at Ved Prakash. He sustained bullet injuries in the left hand and the stomach. The assailants then fled from the scene. Ved Prakash was rushed to a hospital where he was operated upon. He is stated to be out of danger. Initial investigations revealed that it could be a case of rivalry.
