Vanilla trade meet at Thodupuzha

KOCHI, APRIL 7. The Kerala Agricultural Development Society (CADS) will organise a State-level vanilla trade meet at Thodupuzha on April 12 and 13 for working out a scientific and comprehensive system for marketing vanilla.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the CADS president, Antony Kandirikkal, said the Spices Board chairman, C.J. Jose, K.R. Jyothilal, Director, Agriculture Department, and Mathew Sebastian, managing director of Indocert, would lead the discussions on setting up a vanilla trading centre, registration of vanilla growers, price stabilisation of vanilla planting materials, standardisation of organic inputs and organic certification for vanilla growers.
