Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the article, "Old habits die hard?" (April 6). Pervez Musharraf may be resorting to the `Kashmir first' stance because he feels the U.S. will support him. But he must remember that it will last only till the U.S. finishes its `job' in Afghanistan.
Anirudh Govind Rajan,
* * * Sir, The Islamisation of the Kashmir issue and the militants' hijacking of it for so many years have ruined the hopes of the people in the Valley. Even the U.S. was blinded by its self-interest and at least ensured passive support to the jehadi activities in the Valley in the past. Only after September 11, it realised that the Americans too can become victims of such vicious attacks.
P. Raveendran,
