Sir, The Haryana Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala, has a point in challenging the EC order on transferring the State's Director General of Police on the ground that his wife is contesting the election on the INLD ticket. It is far-fetched to think that the DGP will use the police administration to influence the outcome of the elections. Can all police officers be transferred out of the State because a Chief Minister is contesting elections and the police department is under his control?
