NEG Micon's high capacity wind turbine
By Our Corporate Reporter
CHENNAI,
APRIL 8.
NEG Micon (India), a subsidiary of NEG Micon of Denmark, has launched a 1.65 MW wind turbine in India. Addressing presspersons here today, Ramesh Kymal, Managing Director, NEG Micon India, said this turbine which was the latest offer to the Indian market, would be suitable for low and medium wind regimes, which were predominantly found in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and parts of Tamil Nadu. The wind turbine has been installed in Kongalnagaram near Coimbatore. This turbine, with large rotor and a more powerful generator, would enable it to reach generation levels that would outpace the existing turbines in India, Mr. Kymal said.
