Shastri Club in last eight

NEW DELHI, APRIL 8. Fine bowling by Praveen Thapar (five for 21) and Amit Mishra (three for 36) steered L. B. Shastri Club to a four-wicket win against Abhay Ram Gymkhana and a place in the quarterfinals of the BDM cricket tournament here.

The scores:

Abhay Ram Gymkhana 170 in 38.2 overs (Manoj Makkar 38, Sudhir Giri 32, Hitesh Tyagi 32, Praveen Thapar five for 21, Amit Mishra three for 36) lost to L. B. Shastri 174 for six in 35.3 overs (Dharmender 48 not out, Amit Mishra 30, Gaurav Chabra 30, Sahil Kumar three for 33).
