Sayalee Bhagat crowned Miss India-World

MUMBAI, APRIL 8. Ending the controversy surrounding the prestigious beauty pageant, Sayalee Bhagat was today adjudged the first runner-up of the Femina Miss India contest and was crowned Miss India-World.

Ms. Bhagat replaces Laxmi Pandit, who relinquished her crown following controversy over her marital status.

Jyoti Brahmin bagged the Miss India-Earth title after Ms. Bhagat, who held the Miss Earth title, was crowned with the Miss India-World title, organisers said.Tanushree Datta, who was adjudged the winner of the Femina Miss India contest, retains her Miss India-Universe title
