ALAPPUZHA, APRIL 9. The Ambalappuzha Kunchan Memorial Committee and the Guru Gopinath Trust would jointly organise a workshop on Kerala Natanam at the committee's building at Ambalappuzha from April 24 to 28. The MLA, D. Sugathan, will inaugurate the workshop at 10 a.m. The Kunchan Memorial Committee chairman, Devaduth G. Purakkad ,will preside over the function. The valedictory meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on April 28. The MLA, K. C. Vengugopal, will inaugurate the meeting. The organisers said exponents and students of various classical dance forms can participate in the workshop on Kerala Natanam, which is a dance form based on Kathakali composed by the late dance exponent, Guru Gopinath. At the workshop, experts will take classes on various aspects of Kerala Natanam, including costumes, music and literature.
