BPL plans network expansion
COIMBATORE: The BPL Mobile has planned to invest Rs. 1,000 crores towards network and capacity expansion in all its four circles, that is, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu during the current fiscal. The Executive Vice-President of BPL, Krishna Angara, said about 20 per cent of the investment would be for the Tamil Nadu circle for network expansion. The network had already been launched in towns like Ulundurpet, Melmaruvathur, Dharapuram and Oddanchattiram. Further expansion would witness the rollout of networks before April 30 in Theni, Cumbum, Tenkasi, Kanyakumari, Perambalur, Pattukottai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Karaikal, Tindivanam, Ambur and Vaniyampadi.
