Toshiba to invest in digital products

TOKYO:, Japanese electronics maker Toshiba Corp. plans to invest 1 trillion yen $9.4 billion over the next three years to develop digital products and electronic devices. In the latest plan, Toshiba said it also planned to spend an additional 1.1 trillion yen ($10.3 billion) in research and development over the same period. Like other Japanese electronics companies, Toshiba is focusing on digital products and electronic devices as major business areas for the future.
