Bidar
By Our Staff Correspondent
BIDAR, APRIL 10. The former Minister and President of the Veerashaiva Mahasabha, Bheemanna Khandre, has denied the statement that Sri Channabasava Pattaddevaru has transferred to him the administration of the Shanti Vardhak Education Society and asked him to manage it after his death. He has said that the society is a registered body, and for every three years its general body elects a new body. There is no question of handing over the administration of the society to anybody, he has said. Mr. Khandre has also said that the two acres of land gifted by the swamiji is in the name of the Shanti Vardhak Education Society, and not in the name of any person. After the registration of the gift deed in favour of the society, the mutation has been effected in the name of the society. Accordingly, since 12 years, the record of right every year is continued in the name of the society, according to him.
