Ex-servicemen welcome DGP's proposal

HYDERABAD, APRIL 10. The Andhra Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association on Saturday welcomed the proposal of the Director-General of Police, S.R. Sukumara, to utilise the services of ex-servicemen in the ensuing elections.

A. Rangaiah Goud, president, in a statement, said the retired ex-servicemen and those who have taken voluntary retirement could be deployed on election duty by the police.

He appealed to members of the association to offer their services.
