Dies in mishap
His friend, Mahender Singh, who was pillion riding escaped with injuries. The mishap occurred at 4.30 a.m. when the duo, residents of Sikh Chawni at Kishenbagh were on their way to perform `Prabhat Pheri' as part of Baisakhi festival. The Rajendranagar police registered a case.
Cheating case registered
In his complaint, K.S.N. Sharma, senior branch manager of the finance institution, said that the couple - K. Ravi and K. Raja Rajeshwari -- of Sanjeevareddy Nagar colony approached him in December 2001 stating that they wanted Rs. 6 lakhs loan to purchase a flat. They even produced two sureties. The institution then sanctioned the amount. However, upon inquiries, Mr. Sharma learnt that the couple had obtained loans from various banks by furnishing fake documents and using the same sureties. The Saifabad police registered a case and took up investigation.
