NEW DELHI, ARPIL 11. The new entrant into politics from the Gandhi family in the Bharatiya Janata Party, Varun Gandhi, will make his first political appearance in the Capital by canvassing for Vijay Goel, the BJP candidate from the Sadar Lok Sabha seat. Mr. Gandhi would devote the entire day for the Sadar seat on Apirl 13. Ironically, Mr. Gandhi would have to confront his father, Sanjay Gandhi's old friend and the Congress candidate from this seat, Jagdish Tytler, during the campaign. Mr. Tytler was considered one of the closest friends of Sanjay Gandhi and had a long association with him during the youth days. According to Mr. Goel, Varun Gandhi would address public meetings at various places and take a round of the constituency during his first ever-political appearance in the Capital. Mr. Gandhi along with his mother and former Union Minister, Maneka Gandhi, had recently joined the BJP and is going around the country in support of the saffron party. It is expected that Mr. Gandhi would also address meetings for other BJP candidates in the Capital during the next few days and rake up various issues facing the country. During his tour of various parts of the country, he has been drawing good crowds and his speeches have not made any critical reference to his aunt, Sonia Gandhi, or his cousins, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra. Mr. Gandhi had expressed his desire to campaign for the party in Delhi and this could throw up an interesting situation.
