Organise programmes to attract youth, sabhas told

CHENNAI,
APRIL 11.
"Traditional arts such as music and dance are the basic foundation of the country and they should be preserved and nurtured," said K.S. Bakthavatsalam, chairman, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan (Chennai Kendra), today.
Inaugurating the golden jubilee music festival of the Ram Samaj here, he appealed to sabhas to organise programmes which attract youth.
Carnatic musician, T.N. Seshagopalan was felicitated on the occasion for his five decades of service.
The samaj president, S.V. Ramaswamy, said apart from organising music festival, the sabha arranged blood donation and health camps.
The managing trustee, K. Subramanian, said the samaj planned to set up an old age home.
