IOC to launch truck tracking facility

MANGALORE: The Mangalore division of Indian Oil Corporation will launch the truck tracking facility, a value added service to the fleet card already introduced, here on Wednesday. A release from Soman Mathews, senior divisional retail sales manager, here stated that the truck tracking facility had been developed with help of e-logistics. Bharat Sanchar Nigam is the application service provider for this facility. The Chief Retail Sales Manager, Karnataka State Office, S. Varadachari, will launch the facility at Vishnu Enterprises, India Oil outlet in Panambur near here. Mr. Varadachari will formally flag off the first truck fitted with the tracking system. This service can be availed by fleet card customers at a special discounted rate of Rs. 7,500.
