Tata Motors forays into Russia
NEW DELHI,
APRIL 13.
Close on the heels of acquiring Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Co in Korea, Tata Motors has signed an agreement with S. K. Prom of Russia to assemble 5,000 trucks annually at the Urals plant in Russia. "The plant plans to assemble 400 Tata-407 and Tata-613 trucks before the end of 2004,'' the company's general director, Pavel Chernavin, was quoted as saying by the news agency, Interfax.
