Deadly spell by Rafeek

DINDIGUL, APRIL 13. Medium pacer M. Rafeek's six for 10 helped APCC, Pillayarnatham, carve out an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Oberoi CC, Dindigul, in the Indian Bank-DDCA second division league on Tuesday.

The scores (second division): Oberoi CC 122 in 26 overs (S. Arasu 26, Ashok Kumar 31, Mahesh 29, M. Rafeek six for 10) lost to APCC Pillayarnatham 125 for two in 11.5 overs (C. Pragatheeshwaran 57 not out). New Magnum CC, Batlagundu 77 in 19.3 overs (P. Alaguvadivel four for 18 (including a hat-trick), R. Perumal four for 15) lost to Star Sports Club, Poothampatti 80 for seven in 15.1 overs. National CC 150 for six in 23 overs (Valan 25, Ravichandran 55, S. Ganesan three for 23) lost to APCC 154 for four in 20.3 overs (V. Gowrisankar 50, N. Sri Ram 40 not out). Masters XI, Vadamadurai 61 in 12.2 overs lost to Mansur CC 67 for eight in 15.2 overs (N. Bhasharan five for nine).Third division: R.S. Kothandaraman Memorial CC 98 in 28.2 overs (Senthil three for 11) lost to Warrior's CC Vadamadurai 95 for four in 19 overs (Ramesh 25, Senthil 26).
