`Dialogue best option to resolve Ayodhya issue'

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, APRIL 13. The all India spokesperson of RSS, V. Ram Madhav, has said that dialogue was the best option to resolve the Ayodhya dispute and expressed the hope that it would be amicably settled after the elections as both sides were making efforts to sort it out through talks.

Asked about VHP international general secretary, Praveen Togadia's statement that it should be settled by enacting a legislation, he said that Mr. Togadia probably felt that the issue would not move forward through a dialogue. " It (legislation) is not a wrong option, but the best option is dialogue", he told a press conference here on Tuesday. He recalled that the RSS too had earlier wanted it to be resolved through legislation. But there was a change in the atmosphere and efforts were now being made by both the sides to sit across the table. He said that talks should be given a chance and the RSS had expressed its support to the Government in this regard (to resolve through negotiations). In the wake of the call given by Dalai Lama to resolve the issue through talks, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board had said that it was ready for a dialogue.
