THANJAVUR, APRIL 13 . The film director, B. Lenin, inaugurated the Thanjai Thiraipada Sangam here today. He said that the sangam would help in making films with social responsibility. V. T. Suramanian, secretary, Federation of Film Societies of India, said the Thanjai Thiraipada Sangam would be provided with all good movies for screening. At present, 25 film societies were functioning in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. This Thanjai Thiraipada Sangam is the 26th society to be registered with the Federation of Film Societies of India. N. Ganesan, secretary, Bharath College of Science and Management, Narayana Rao, film actor, M. Ramasamy, president, Thanjai Thiraipada Sangam, Rajendran, executive committee member of the sangam and Mahadevan of Tiruchi Thiraipada Sangam spoke.
