NEW DELHI, APRIL 13. A four-day interactive workshop organised by the non-government organisation (NGO) Udayan Care in 31 Delhi schools concluded today. Held as part of the celebrations to mark Udayan Care's completion of 10 years, the workshop was conducted in collaboration with Umang Children's Theatre. Aimed at creating awareness among children about the disadvantaged sections of the society, the idea behind the show was to use art to send the message across. Organised in many prestigious schools of the Capital including the DPS Greater Noida; Sanskriti, Tagore International School; DPS Indirapuram, Ghaziabad; American Embassy School; Bluebells; Springdales, Dhaula Kuan and Pusa Road; and Modern School, Barakhamba Road. Different themes were chosen for the painting workshops, with the topic ranging from Future and Hope, nature and environment to wildlife conservation. Commenting on the workshop, the Managing Trustee of Udayan Care, Kiran Modi, said, "We realise that for our children to be accepted in the mainstream, there must be an interaction with their more advantaged peers. It was with this idea that we organised the event. The artists and schools participating have displayed the highest degree of commitment towards our cause.''
