HYDERABAD, APRIL 13. Film star of yesteryear, Rajesh Khanna, and senior leaders, Manmohan Singh and Pranab Mukherjee, would undertake election campaign for the Congress in the State. This was disclosed to presspersons here on Tuesday after the first meeting of the Campaign Committee of APCC, presided by its chairman, Dasari Narayana Rao. He said the schedule of another Telugu film actress, Vanisri, who joined the Congress recently, had not been finalised. Mr. Rao, who had distanced himself from the Congress affairs in the last few days following differences with senior leaders in the State over distribution of party ticket, admitted that he was depressed but would not allow that to affect party work during this crucial period. He would again raise the issues over which he was sore, after the polls, he said. He justified the letter he had written to the AICC president, Sonia Gandhi, complaining about the State leadership and said he had the right to express his grievances to the high command. The Rajya Sabha member said a campaign in-charge was appointed for each Assembly and Lok Sabha seat where the party contested. A five-member campaign committee at the APCC-level would regularly interact with them.
