BANGALORE, APRIL 13. A man was killed on the spot and two others were injured when the wall of a travel agency office collapsed on them on Sanjaynagar Main Road in the city on Tuesday morning. The dead is Ravi (32), alias Babu, a car driver in the travel agency. He was from Puttur in Andhra Pradesh. Sanjaynagar police said the accident took place when a row of shops near the office were being demolished. Debris from the demolition site fell on the travel agency building, leading to the collapse. Onlookers immediately rescued the manager of the agency, Mukunda, and another driver, Gangadhara, and rushed them to a private hospital. While Mr. Gangadhara was treated as outpatient, Mr. Mukunda has been hospitalised. His condition is said to be serious. Sanjaynagar police have registered a case of negligence against Ramaprasad, the owner of the shops being demolished, and the contractor, Kumar, who was supervising the demolition. Investigation is in progress.
