NEW DELHI, APRIL 13. Afraid of having performed badly in the Board examinations this year, a Class X student allegedly hung himself to death at his Ambedkar Nagar residence in South Delhi today. The incident took place around 6-30 p.m. when Vikas, a resident of Duggal Complex of Ambedkar Nagar, was found hanging from the ceiling fan on the first floor of his house. He died on way to Batra Hospital. His father, Sanjay, who is into supply of construction materials, said Vikas studied in a Government school and had appeared for the Board examinations this year. He was suffering from depression for the past few weeks, as he feared that he had performed badly in the examinations. The local police have initiated inquest proceedings into the matter.
