BANGALORE, APRIL 14. The Bangalore Division of South-Western Railway will soon set up a call centre to give passengers information about reservation and arrival and departure of trains, the Divisional Railway Manager, Mahesh Kumar, said here on Tuesday. Participating in the 49th Railway Week celebrations, he said after July it might become possible to know the ticket status through mobile phones. Passengers could use SMS giving the PNR number and receive a reply. Plans were afoot to have special BMTC buses running between Yeshwathpur and City Railway Station, Mr. Mahesh Kumar said. Yeshwanthpur station, which was the terminal for new trains to Delhi, would be upgraded, he added.
